The production of synthesis gas (hydrogen and carbon monoxide) from methane and steam is one of the most important parts of refinery and petrochemical units. This process is carried out in the reformer in a catalytic bed at a temperature of about 1,000 degrees Celsius. HEDCO delivers the Reformers as a site fabricated package including the following tasks and supplies:
